Mythical Creatures: Waldorf Inspired Wool Felt Dragon
We’ve been making some magical, mythical creature inspired projects over the past few months inside The Sewing Circle. One of these projects has been this beautiful Waldorf inspired wool felt baby dragon! (You can take a peak at one of our other magical projects, a Waldorf inspired wool felt unicorn here).
This has been a much requested pattern in our members group and it was such fun to design this Waldorf inspired baby dragon hatchling. Choosing the hand dyed felt, and the beautiful gold thread to highlight this little ones wings was a delight (I highly recommend seeking out some metallic thread to add the detailing to your little baby dragon hatchling, to really emphasis their little wings and chest scales!)
For the eyes, I used tiny seed beads, which was a wonderful opportunity to incorporate some of the sweet little beads I have collected over the years. You could also use one strand of embroidery thread too!
Ps. You can purchase this beautifully hand-dyed wool felt, or perhaps you might like to try hand dyeing your own felt in our Magical Wool Felt Workshop.
